My Story

I’m Amanda the founder of McClintock optical styling Boutique.

My aim is to help my customers find the perfect pair of glasses that not only suits their face but also their personality. A pair that they will enjoy wearing and makes them feel confident wearing the right pair of glasses.

I started my optical journey in 1987 after qualifying as a Dispensing Optician. Working in a variety of practices then in 1991, I went on to studying Optometry in London then qualified as an optometrist in 1995.

Then in 2005 I started my own Domiciliary eye care services. Providing eye examinations and dispensing glasses in patients own homes and care homes.

For 12 years I was an active members of the British charity vision aid overseas. Being the country manager for Burkina Faso and leading out-reach programmes in this beautiful and remote part of Africa brought challenges and a great deal of satisfaction.

In 2018 I opened McClintock Dispensing Opticians, an optical styling Boutique and in 2020 I expanded my premises and re located to the Marina in Lossiemouth.

My aim is to deliver a truly welcoming atmosphere and bespoke service to every one of my clients. Being an Optometrist and a Dispensing Optician gives me the advantage in understanding my customers visual needs and the importance of finding the right pair of glasses that my customers will enjoy wearing.
